Bangladesh's remittance inflow rises 25.9% in 1st half of February
Remittance inflows to Bangladesh grew by 25.9 percent year-on-year to reach $1,655 million in the first 15 days of February, according to the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank.
During the same period last year, the country received $1,315 million in remittances.
For the current fiscal year from July to February 15, expatriate Bangladeshis sent a total of $21,088 million, compared with $17,276 million during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, reflecting a strong overall increase in overseas earnings.
