Saudi Arabia becomes Bangladesh's leading remittance source
Saudi Arabia has emerged as Bangladesh’s largest source of remittances in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, with inflows rising 43.7% to $1.2 billion — up from $859 million during the same period last year.
The United States, which topped the full-year remittance chart in FY2024-25 with $4.7 billion, has fallen behind in the Q1 FY26 rankings.
Still, Bangladesh’s overall remittances grew 16% year-on-year, reaching $7.6 billion between July and September of FY2025-26.
