US private sector loses 32,000 jobs in November
The US private sector lost 32,000 jobs in November, according to payroll processor ADP, marking a sharp and unexpected decline after forecasts had predicted job growth.
ADP’s chief economist Nela Richardson said hiring has been volatile in recent months as businesses navigate cautious consumer behaviour and ongoing economic uncertainty.
She added that the slowdown was widespread across industries, with small businesses seeing the largest pullback in employment.
