Bangladesh Bank buys $373mn through dollar auction
Bangladesh Bank (BB) purchased US$373 million from 22 commercial banks through a dollar auction setting the floor price at Tk 121.50 per dollar on Tuesday.
BB spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan confirmed it and said the purchased amount will be added to the country's foreign exchange reserves by today (16 July).
Through the latest move, the central bank has bought a total of $484 million in two separate auctions over the past three days.
