Bangladesh's remittance inflow up 9.5%
Bangladesh’s remittance inflow grew by 9.5 percent year-on-year to $2,172 million in the first 20 days of December, according to the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank on Sunday.
During the same period last year, remittance receipts stood at $1,983 million.
Data also showed that expatriate Bangladeshis sent $15,211 million in remittances between July and December 20 of the current fiscal year, up from $13,121 million recorded in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
