Bangladesh's remittance inflow rises by 23.97%

Inflow of remittances to Bangladesh witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of 23.97%, reaching $1933 million in the first 26 days of July, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued on Sunday.
During the same period of 2024, the country’s remittance inflow was $1559 million, reports BSS.
Expatriate Bangladeshis sent a record $30.33 billion in remittances in the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), marking the highest amount ever received in a single fiscal year in the country’s history.
This figure reflects a 26.80% increase compared to the $23.91 billion received in the previous fiscal year (FY24).
