ADB to hold Business Opportunities Seminar on November 12
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will organize a Business Opportunities Seminar (BOS) on November 12, 2025, at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in Dhaka.
The event is being arranged with support from the Economic Relations Division (ERD) and in coordination with relevant government agencies.
According to ADB, the seminar will highlight key ongoing and upcoming business opportunities under ADB-financed projects, as well as ADB’s private sector activities in Bangladesh. The World Bank will also take part and present its project portfolio alongside ADB.
Contractors, suppliers, consultants, NGOs, private businesses, business associations from Bangladesh and abroad, as well as representatives from government agencies and diplomatic missions, are expected to attend.
Speakers at the seminar will include:
Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Ministry of Water Resources; Hoe Yun Jeong, Country Director, Bangladesh Resident Mission, ADB; Jean Pesme, Division Director for Bangladesh and Bhutan, World Bank; Akira Matsunaga, Deputy Country Director, ADB; Bidyut Kumar Saha, Lead Investment Officer, ADB; S. M. Moin Uddin Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer, Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA); Ridma Khan, Director, Women’s Chamber of Commerce Initiatives; along with several senior procurement, project, and sector specialists from ADB and the World Bank
The seminar aims to help businesses better understand procurement processes and explore partnership opportunities in development projects across multiple sectors.
