Israeli army launches fresh strikes on Gaza, breaking ceasefire agreement

The Israeli army carried out a wave of air and artillery attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday evening, violating a recently established ceasefire agreement. The strikes came after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the military to conduct what he described as “immediate, powerful strikes” in the enclave.

According to Anadolu reporters, Israeli warplanes bombed the Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City, while artillery units shelled areas east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. Missiles also hit locations near the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.

Local media reported that an Israeli drone targeted the courtyard of Shifa Hospital, an area previously designated as outside the active combat zone under the ceasefire terms.

The renewed offensive followed Netanyahu’s directive earlier in the day, accusing Hamas of violating the truce. The strikes mark a significant escalation and threaten to unravel the fragile ceasefire that had brought a brief pause to months of conflict in the Gaza Strip.
