Winning numbers drawn for $1.8bn Powerball Jackpot

The winning numbers for Saturday’s $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot were 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, with the red Powerball 17 and a Power Play multiplier of 2, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association.
The prize is the second-largest in U.S. lottery history, trailing only the record $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot claimed in California in 2022. Saturday’s draw marked the 42nd consecutive game without a jackpot winner since May 31, the longest streak in Powerball history.
Winners can choose between receiving the $1.8 billion as 30 annual installments or a one-time cash payout estimated at $826 million, both before taxes.
Despite the soaring prize, the odds of hitting the jackpot remain roughly 1 in 292.2 million. The current format, which increases the number of balls in play, has lowered jackpot-winning odds while raising the likelihood of multiple winners when ticket sales surge.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each and are available in 45 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
